Abstract: Job is a paid position of regular employment or a task or work and term satisfaction is fulfillment or gratification one s whishes, expectation, or need or the pleasure derived from this so if any one meat this we can say he/she happy and satisfied in his/her job, Job satisfaction focuses on all the feelings that an individual has about his/her job. A satisfied work force will create a pleasant atmosphere within the organization to perform well. Hence job satisfaction has become a major topic for research studies which selected by researcher. The prime objective of this study is to find out the level of job satisfaction of employees working in the State Bank of India Delhi-NCR. Other one is to find out what the factors affecting employees job satisfaction or dissatisfaction and how to increase the job satisfaction within these fields. The purposes of the study were to extend knowledge in the field of banking industry, to raise awareness about factors that affect job satisfaction in banking management career, and to provide suggestions regarding how to increase job satisfaction among employees. This exploratory study was carried out using a questionnaire with considering demographic and organizational variables and its relationship with job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has been treated as a dependent variable while demographic and organizational variable have been treated as independent variables. The analytical approach was quantitative as the company wanted to receive a complete model of job satisfaction survey that could be used repeatedly in the future. Both primary and secondary data has been used, for primary data collection purpose, a questionnaire on 5-point Likert scale was developed and personally distributed among employees of banks, random Sampling has been used in it, after that data tabulated in MS Excel, mean, Mann Whitney tests, Kruskal Wallis, co-relation, factor analysis tool applied for analyzing the data with the help of software SPSS and R. The results showed that the job satisfaction is relatively high in the SBI and the managers have only a few improvements to make. The results also indicated that the employees were happier with the Job factors than the work itself. Now there is a platform to work for motivation factors and to achieve even higher job satisfaction. Factors affecting job satisfaction/dissatisfaction of working employee in SBI were determined and sorted in seven groups: Personal growth and Development, Pay/salary, terms and policy, benefits/facilities, supervision, co-worker relationship, security/safety. And result revealed that there is positive and significant relation with allover job satisfaction and factor effect positively for employee job satisfaction in SBI. The results of the study may benefit to the managers, policy maker, bank management and students, and also to banking organizations that can utilize the suggestions regarding improvement of job satisfaction among bank managers presented in the research. newline
