Abstract: Dietary imbalance and over nutrition may lead to diseases like obesity. Obesity results when caloric intake exceeds utilisation. Dopamine precursor L-DOPA and dopamine D2 receptor agonists are reported to have weight reducing property. They also show significant low food intake for palatable as well as high fat diet. The present study was aimed at evaluating the antiobesity potential of three dopamine containing plants in high fat diet induced obesity in rats. newline newline
