Abstract: The analog integrated circuit design in current mode is receiving increased attention due to some potential performance features like wide bandwidth, less circuit complexity, wide dynamic range, low power consumption and high operating speed. The current mode approach has emerged as an alternate method besides the traditional voltage mode circuits. The port characteristics of current mode active devices like current conveyors provide a favourable balance of operational flexibility and simplicity as compared to voltage mode counterparts. The current mode active devices are appropriate to operate with signals in both current and voltage modes, and are gaining acceptance as building blocks in high performance circuit designs. newlineThe second generation current conveyor (CCII), in particular, being a current and voltage hybrid block has received increased interest in last two and half decades. Moreover, the demand on the ability of the circuit to change its characteristics dynamically can be fulfilled with second generation current controlled conveyor (CCCII) based circuits. The research work presented in this thesis concerns with the development of current conveyor based filter configurations. A number of filter configurations have been developed with fewer active and passive components and/or improved filter performance parameters compared to the existing current conveyor based circuits. newline
